Expecting mediocre late-night pizza? Fuhget about it! Pizzo Pizza tosses some of the best pies in town - and doesn't mind covering long distances to get it to you (we live in Kits - the delivery was made all the way from Denman).

Crust height upon request (from super thin to fluffy medium thickness), plus some saucy little gems on the menu, like homemade secret mushroom pizza and tasty tater tot. And, like Cheers, this is one place you can go where everybody knows your name (well, after three or so calls the owner will).

Best personalized pizza in town. The pizza is always fresh. Whatever you want, just ask for it and you'll get it. If you like spicy food, ask for the "man sauce". Gordon, the manager, will hook you up.

"Quality & Creativity" by Keith Wagschal (1 review)

December 29, 2009 - PIzzo Pizza is a classic neighbourhood shop: quality ingredients, friendly service, and a combination of classic pizza options and creative in the moment creations. The owners and workers are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you get the best slice possible. They use quality meats, and lay on the toppings thick. The best pizza by the slice in Vancouver, hands down.

YUCK!" by Michael S (4 reviews)
December 20, 2009 - To me, pizza is a simple thing that people try to make better by complicating it. This is the experience I had with Pizzo Pizza. Of all the delivery pizza I have ever ordered, it was perhaps one of the worst. Pizza (in my opinion) should be a good crust made out of white flour, a great sauce, and lots of cheese and toppings. This isn't what these guys offer. A Wholewheat crust that was completely tasteless, an unremarkable sauce, and mediocre amounts of sauce. I ordered something called a 'Three Storey Pepperoni'. Their description: Tomato Sauce and a layer of pepperoni, a layer of cheese, a 2nd layer of pepperoni and a 2nd layer of cheese, then a 3rd layer of pepperoni, and a 3rd layer of cheese. You would need a microscope to see the "layers" on this pizza. I have had single topping pizzas from any other place in town that had more to them than this. And to top it off, the pizza sat around for 20+ minutes (after being made) because"they were too busy to deliver it". When it arrived, it was COLD. So, crappy cold pizza. NEVER AGAIN.If you want good pizza in Vancouver's west end, go to Maria's. Olympia is good as well, although not as good as it was 15 years ago.If you are one of those people that loves taking a good tasting, not good for you food like pizza, and changing everything about it so that it's "healthier", but tastes like blah, then Pizzo Pizza is the place for you.

Just a response from us at Pizzo Pizza, we just like everyone to know that this customer actually ordered a pizza off the menu and not actually the 3 storey pepperoni. (he ordered a pizza with triple backbacon instead) AND our pizza crust is NOT a whole wheat crust! We have apologized for the cold pizza and have offered a free pizza the next time he orders.

This was a pleasant surprise! We expected mediocre late-night pizza, but instead received one of the best pizzas we've had in a long time. We ordered a 'secret mushroom' with tater tots on it, and it was fantastic. The order took over an hour to get here, but it was totally worth the wait. On the other hand, they are located several kilometers away, so it was a surprise that they even delivered. Love that they're open late. Friendly service, excellent food.

Best Homestyle Pizza We've Found in the West End
We tried Pizzo Pizza a month or two ago after walking by several times and I'm very glad we gave this little place a try! They have the best homemade type pizza that we've found in downtown, period. If you're looking for a super thin crust, this isn't the place for you, but they have an outstanding medium thickness crust. The 2-for-1 pick up specials are really good, however the toppings were a little lacking on those (I like tons of toppings), so we stick with our favorites instead. The guy who runs the place is super nice and after three times, knows my husband when he comes to pick up our order and they have great hours as they're open late. This is our new go-to place for pizza.

Wow! This is the best damn pizza I've ever had! It's like a donair if a donair was coated with TONS of cheese and in pizza form. Your donairs are great, and effin' huge, but this is even better. Thanks!!

"An island in a sea of mediocrity" by Chuck Norris (1 review)

June 11, 2009 - Likes it - As far as I know, there isn't a lot of choice for pizza in the western part of Downtown Vancouver besides various chains who churn out a kind of pizza that tastes and looks like disconcern. Pizzo Pizza is an exception to this rule. Let's start with the free delivery. Yeah, free delivery. Okay, now that we're done with that, let's talk about the menu. It's creative. I could list the eclectic and colorful pie selection for you right now, but typin' 'aint cheap son. Check it out for yourself lazy bones! Don't just take my word for it. I got the Grand Masterpiece, and it was just that. Nice, hand-tossed, semi-thin crust with tasty ingredients. It was like a party in my mouth and someone forgot to invite the fat chicks. Now, lets move on to the prices: they're less than everywhere else. They's gots deals! Just look it up. Finally, they're damn friendly. So, let me reassure the sceptical; I don't work for them. I'm just happy to see an independent pie joint in this part of town that blows the cookie-(or should I say pizza)cutter competition away.

August 08, 2009 - Just like in most area in Vancouver, West End has its share of pizza parlours. While it is flooded with chains, there are also mom and pop shops. Pizzo Pizza is such place. While it is mostly takeout/delivery, when it is open during lunch time, their offerings are quite interesting, in addition to the regular offerings. And in some cases, the meats (ham, for example) are not single layered. The crust could be improved but I won't complain much here. Better than Nat's or Flying Wedge.

August 03, 2009 - Likes it - On a street that has practically every banal, corporate pizza joint imaginable, including the overpriced Vancouver favorite - Flying Wedge, Pizzo is remarkable. The pizza is great. The guys who own it actually run it. The delivery is free. And the prices are practically half of Panago. The best part though is the donair. They have great, authentic, Halifax sweet sauce.

back for more
grabbed a slice the other day
really good, went for seconds
and found out its under new ownership
much cleaner
and the pizza is really good
they now use a mix of cheese that includes provolone
i had a slice of their veggie
and the vegetables were fresh
then i had one of these sauteed mushrooms and it was excellent
their pizzas were not greasy at all and found out from the new owners that they only used pure olive oil
all i can say is i'll be grabbing a few slice the next time im in that part of town
